Analysis: Danville pays $7.03 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Danville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 87.5 percent of the $3,262,590 the Danville Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $7.03 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Danville contributed $2,856,389 to the fund, which saw a $339,218 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $406,201, or 12.5 percent, in 2018.
