Analysis: Mahomet pays $4.18 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Mahomet Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 79.9 percent of the $245,327 the Mahomet Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.18 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Mahomet contributed $196,035 to the fund, which saw a $10,755 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $46,803, or 19.1 percent, in 2018. Another $2,489 came from other unspecified sources.
