Analysis: Monticello pays $7.07 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Monticello Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 87.6 percent of the $241,230 the Monticello Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $7.07 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Monticello contributed $211,346 to the fund, which saw a $38 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $29,884, or 12.4 percent, in 2018.
