Analysis: Rantoul pays $51.52 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Rantoul Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 97.1 percent of the $11,603,939 the Rantoul Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $51.52 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Rantoul contributed $11,268,316 to the fund, which saw a $10,660,599 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $218,678, or 1.9 percent, in 2018. Another $116,945 came from other unspecified sources.
