City of Danville issued the following announcement on May 21.
Danville Mass Transit will be submitting a state capital grant through the state’s Rebuild Illinois program. The projects and project costs requested through the grant is listed below. To submit any public comment about the projects or the grant, click the button below, fill out the information, and submit. This information will be received by the Director of Public Transportation. The ½ hour comment period will be recorded and transcribed. The submission date for the grant is Thursday, May 28, 2020, so all comments must be received prior to Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. CST in order to be considered and included.
This public comment period is to satisfy the requirement for a public hearing to afford the public an opportunity for interested persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the social, economic, and environmental aspects of the project. Any hearing Impaired individual who wishes to participate during the hearing must notify Lisa Beith at (217) 431-0653 as soon as possible for arrangements can be made to provide an interpreter.
