City of Gibson City Council met March 9.

Call to order at 7:00 pm by Mayor Dan Dickey.

Ward #3 Scott Davis, present; Aaron Kafer, present

Ward #4 Dennis Pardick, present; Denis Fisher, present

Jr Alderman Abby Spiller, present; Jr. Alderman Mady Schutte, absent

Others present: Admin Assistant Peg Stalter, City Superintendent Randy Stauffer, Jan Hall (WGCY), Police Officer Austin Rosenbaum, Alexandria Kafer.

Pledge of Allegiance was led by Jr Alderman Abby Spiller.

Approval of Council Minutes::Alderman Susie Tongate motioned to approve the minutes of February 24, 2020; second by Alderman Randy Wyant. MC 8-0.

Mayor Dickey recognized visitors: none

Treasurer’s Report: No report.

Administrative Report: Admin Assistant Peg Stalter offered no report. City Clerk Carla Moxley distributed the Statement of Economic Interest form and requested that all Council members complete the form and return to Peg Stalter before May 1st.

Ordinance Committee – Alderman Aaron Franks offered no report.

Street and Alley –Alderman Greg Houtzel offered no report.

Police/Health, Light and Nuisance –Alderman Aaron Kafer offered no report.

APPROVAL OF BILLS:

A.) General Fund Bills for $ 93,967.53. Alderman Denis Fisher motioned to approve payment of the bills totaling $ 93,967.53; second by Alderman Aaron Franks. MC 8-0.

NEW BUSINESS:

A) Consideration of Mayor’s Appointment of Alexandria Kafer as Jr.Alderman. Alderman Dennis Pardick motioned to approve Alexandria Kafer as Jr. Alderman; second by Alderman Scott Davis. MC 8-0. City Clerk Carla Moxley then administered the oath of office to Alexandria Kafer.

Adjourn: Mayor Dickey asked Jr.Alderman Alexandria Kafer to motion to adjourn; second by Alderman Dennis Pardick. Council was polled with 8 ayes/ no objections.
