GIBSON CITY-MELVIN-SIBLEY COMMUNITY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT 5: Spring Musical

Music

Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Community Unified School District 5  issued the following announcement on March 5

The GCMS High School Chorus Department presents - How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.   Performances will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13th and Saturday, March 14th in the GCMS High School gymnasium.  Reserved tickets are now on sale for $7.00.  Call 784-4292 to purchase reserved seats.

How to Succeed in Business is a clever satire of big business and life on the corporate ladder. It is a tune-filled comic gem that took Broadway by storm, winning a Tony Award for Best Musical.  The show follows the rise of Mr. Finch, who uses a little handbook called How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying to climb from lowly window washer to high-powered executive.

The GCMS production is under the direction of Amanda Broaddus.  Choreography by Ann Spangler.  Pit band direction by Krysti Brucker and Kyle Renchen.  Technical direction by Walker Willis.
