Monticello home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Monticello fell by $2,500 while total sales decreased by 35.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were 24 homes sold, with a median sale price of $147,500 - a 1.7% decrease over the $150,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 37 homes sold in Monticello in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Monticello for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,553, approximately 1.7% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2018.
