PROPOSED 2019-2021 CITY COUNCIL VISION AND GOALS [SS 2019-047]
Staff Presentation: Assistant to the City Manager Walton provided an update on the progress towards the development of the 2019-2021 City Council goals, with a presentation including the following topics:
• Goal Setting Process – public comment, review vision statement, 2017-2019 goals review, 2019-2021 potential goals, Council consensus
• Vision Statement
• Guiding Principles – open and transparent, fiscally responsible, data-driven approach, environmental sustainability, community partners, forward-thinking City
• Council Goals/Key Projects – including 19 key projects within the goal areas:
➢ Our City Keeps Our Community Safe
➢ Our City Expands Economic Opportunity
➢ Our City Builds Safe and Sustainable Infrastructure
➢ Our City Invests to Support Its Vibrant, Diverse Neighborhoods
• Council Direction

Action Recommended: The Administration recommends directing staff to prepare a Resolution for Council to adopt the 2019-2021 City Council vision and goals as proposed.

Poll: Mayor Feinen polled Alternative One directing staff to place a Resolution on an upcoming regular meeting agenda for the adoption of the City Council vision and goals for the 2019-2021 Council term as proposed. The result of the poll was 7 ayes and 0 nays.
Adjournment:
CM Brix, seconded by CM Gladney, moved to adjourn to Closed Session to discuss Pending and Probable Litigation, followed by adjournment. A roll-call vote was taken; all voted yes.
