City of Hoopeston Facade Committee met Oct. 30.

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Crusinberry at 4:02pm. Present from the Historical Society, Carol Hicks; Valarie Hinkle, Chamber of Commerce; Emily Brown, Downtown Business Owner; Robin Lawson, Council Member; Marta Pierce, City Employee.
Mayor Crusinberry reviewed the guidelines for the Façade Improvement Grant Program. This year only $10,000 is available from TIF, zero from the Civic Budget.
The Mayor presented application from Gail Lane, owner of the H&R Block building, located at 314 East Main Street, Hoopeston. This included application, photos and estimate from Thomas Construction for repair and installation of metal lathe & stucco siding for wall on the east side of business that faces public parking area. Owner is requesting grant for $4,650, 50% of the siding installation only.
Request meeting with owner for questions from the committee. Meeting set for Monday, November 4, 2019 at 4pm.
