Hoopeston Area CUSD 11 Curriculum Advisory/Community Engagement/Discipline Committee met Oct. 24.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

The Curriculum Advisory/Community Engagement/Discipline Committee of the Hoopeston Area CUSD #11 met on October 24 at 6 pm in the District office conference room. Members present Craig Lee, Emily Brown and Robert Richardson.

Lee called the meeting to order at 6 pm. Richardson presented the process for the 1% sales tax referendum and the timeline the Hoopeston Area CUSD #11 needs to meet to have the referendum placed on the ballot in March. The committee discussed a united front as to how the District would utilize the money if the referendum were to pass. Further discussions through committees and before the whole board will take place

Brown displayed 5Lab district discipline data. The committee discussed a plan of the Alternative Learning Center, the roll out and processes of how that will be conducted. The discussion lead to BDAC and how this opportunity can be best utilized to assist students be successful.

The meeting adjourned at 7:10 pm.
