Atwood home prices fall in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Atwood fell by $25,000 while total sales increased by 55.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 14 homes sold, with a median sale price of $60,000 - a 29.4% decrease over the $85,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were nine homes sold in Atwood in 2016.

The median sales tax in Atwood for 2017 was $1,564. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,530. This marks an increase of 2.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.6%.
