Gifford home prices fall in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Gifford fell by $7,000 while total sales increased by 44%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 36 homes sold, with a median sale price of $108,000 - a 6.1% decrease over the $115,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 25 homes sold in Gifford in 2016.

The median sales tax in Gifford for 2017 was $2,790. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,651. This marks an increase of 5.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.6%.
