Monticello home prices fall in the first half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2018 in Monticello fell by $5,900 while total sales increased by 5.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2018, there were 75 homes sold, with a median sale price of $139,000 - a 4.1% decrease over the $144,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 71 homes sold in Monticello in the first half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Monticello for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,553, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2018.
