Cerro Gordo home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Cerro Gordo fell by $15,903 while total sales decreased by 75%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were three homes sold, with a median sale price of $40,100 - a 28.4% decrease over the $56,003 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 12 homes sold in Cerro Gordo in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Cerro Gordo for 2017 was $1,683. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,517. This marks an increase of 10.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 4.2%.
