Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Community Unified School District 5 Board of Education met Aug. 19.

4.0 Executive Session

Motion to go into executive session for the purposes of:

4.1 The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the district or legal counsel for the district, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity. 5ILCS 120/2(c)(1)

4.2 Litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular District has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the District finds that an action is probable or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the closed meeting minutes. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11).

4.3 Student disciplinary cases. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(9).

4.4 Discussion of lawfully closed meeting minutes, whether for purposes of approval by the body of the minutes or semi-annual review of the minutes as mandated by Section 2.06. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(21).

8.1 Approve the minutes of the GCMS Regular and Executive Session Minutes of July 22, 2019.

8.2 Approve the payment of bills and payroll on behalf of the FCSEC and the GCMS District

8.3 Approve the financial statements on behalf of the FCSEC and the GCMS District.

8.4 Approve the summary of investments on behalf of the FCSEC and the GCMS District.

8.5 Approve the destruction of executive session tapes through end of March 2018.

8.6 Approve the field trip(s) for:

a. 5th Grade - Lafayette Indiana - October 4, 2019

b. Ag / FFA - Decatur Illinois- August 28, 2019

8.7 Accept the following donations as presented Amount From Designated to:

a. $500 Siemsen Property Management GCMS Football

b. $4,000 Anonymous GCMS Athletics

8.8 Approve the facility use agreement - pending proof of insurance and all other district requirements for:

a. Girls On the Run - Track etc. - September - November

b. Youth Basketball - Gyms - August - October
