City of Hoopeston issued the following announcement on July 19.
We will begin City of Hoopeston Bulk Garbage drop off on Saturday, July 20th from 6 am-12 pm at City Hall, 301 W. Main St. This will continue every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month at the same time. To be eligible, you must be a Hoopeston resident and pay for Republic Services City garbage service. You will be required to present a photo ID with your address on it. This is for bulk garbage ONLY. Any garbage that fits in your blue tote provided by Republic will not be allowed. You are NOT allowed to dispose of electronics, appliances, paint, liquids, tires, batteries, yard waste, and construction waste including drywall and carpet. Questions call 217-283-5833.
