2018 Recap: Parolees near Illinois zip code 61832 convicted of homicide

There were two offenders convicted of homicide released on parole near Illinois zip code 61832 during 2018, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Chambana Sun.

The data shows that both of the released offenders in 61832 were men. The younger parolee was a 34-year-old man sentenced in 2015. The other was a 41-year-old man sentenced in 2004.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Andrew Eggleston. He was convicted of homicide in 2004 when he was 26 years old. He is now 41.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
