CITY OF MONTICELLO: Annual Oil & Chip Maintenance Program

Roadclosed

City of Monticello issued the following announcement on June 29.

The City Council of the City of Monticello recently approved a bid for general maintenance work upon the streets within Monticello. This work is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of July 1st, 2019. Residents along the streets for oil and chip seal coat are asked to not park on the street during construction operations. All vehicles that will interrupt paving activities will be towed. The following areas will be included as part of this project:

Stoddard Ct. from N. Union Street to Poplar

Surrey Ct. from N. Railroad St. to concrete portion

Surrey Rd. from concrete portion to cul-de-sac

Surrey Rd. cul-de-sac

Valley Rd. from Surrey Rd. to dead end

Salem Rd. from Surrey Rd. to Timberview Rd.

Quail Hill Rd. from Surrey Rd. to Timberview Rd.

Timberview Rd., from N. Railroad St. to dead end

Grant St. from Elm St. to Market St.

Grant St. from Market St. to State St.

Hamilton St. from Center St. to Grant St.

High St. from Market St. to Buchanan

Irving St. from Bond St. to Monroe St.

Irving St. from Monroe St. to dead end

Lincoln St. from Buchanan to Greely

Lincoln St. from Greely to Grant St.

Robert Webb Dr. from Piatt St. to dead end

N. Union St. from Center St. to High St.

N. Union St. from High St. to Lincoln St.

N. Union St. from Lincoln St. to Grant St.

Chase St. from Washington St. to 30' south of the railroad tracks.

Along with the fire house parking and police parking lots on Hamilton St., and the Nick's Park parking lot and driveway on the North side of Nick's Park.
