Village of Catlin City Council met March 19.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

The Council of the Village of Catlin met in the Village Boardroom in regular session at 7:00 PM with Mayor Schmink presiding. Mayor Schmink called the meeting to order and instructed the Village Clerk to call the roll.

Mayor: Present Commissioners: Fred Reddy, Jerry Cummings Absent: Kevin Kirk, Wanda Schmit

Also present: Diane Reddy, David Biggerstaff

A motion was made by Jerry, seconded by Fred to approve the minutes from the regular board meeting held on March 5, 2019.

Upon reading of said bills, a motion was made by Fred, seconded by Jerry that the Treasurer pay said bills as presented.

Commissioner Cummings:

• A motion was made by Jerry, seconded by Fred to approve the following building permits:

o Todd & Shelley McLain, 110 E Fleming, remove chain link fence and replace with vinyl privacy fence on south and west side of back yard, $4,000.00, Powell Fence Co. 

o Amelia Burke, 431 Merrill Şt., new roof and siding, $4,000.00, family, 

o Jacob Wantland, 404 W. Center, demo old concrete pad in rear of house and replace with new one, $1,500.00, self. 

o Gordon Eaton, 103 Crockett, roof porch, $500.00, B&B Construction, 104.016851. 

o Paul Weilmuenster, 405 N Webster, replace above ground pool in same location, $1,600.00, family.

• Jerry reminded everyone to get their budgets in, Shelley said that all the budgets were submitted except for the Street Dept. Shelley stated she thought they were waiting on a few bids to be added to the budget. 

• Jerry also stated that the garage doors will be installed this week on the police garage. Jerry is getting estimates for the electrical and flooring for the next budget.

• Fred stated that he met with Tim and they have submitted the water and wastewater budgets to the Clerk.

Mayor Schmink stated that he and Shelley signed for the bridge loan for the wastewater plant last week and the monies have been received.

A motion was made by Jerry, seconded by Fred to adjourn the meeting by vote.
