Champaign home prices fall in February 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in February 2017 in Champaign fell by $1,500 while total sales decreased by 26.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In February 2017, there were 85 homes sold, with a median sale price of $124,000 - a 1.2% decrease over the $125,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 116 homes sold in Champaign in February 2016.

The median sales tax in Champaign for 2017 was $3,362. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,040. This marks an increase of 10.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.7%.
