Taxpayers for Meister owes $20,400 in fines

The campaign committee Taxpayers for Meister owes a $5,000 fine imposed on Oct. 6, 2017, according to Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

A detailed look reveals the committee owes additional outstanding fines totaling $15,400.

ISBE Records dating back to 2003 show five area campaign committees owe a combined total of $73,975 in pending fines.
