City of Monticello issued the following announcement on Feb. 28.
A notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held upon the Application for Variance with the City of Monticello Planning & Zoning Board by Chad Johnson & Erik Broadrick, owners of the property legally described as follows:
Pt Ne Sec 18-18-6 Comm 18' S Of Sw Cor Lot 3 Of Sub N 1/2 Nw Ne Per Plat Deed Bk 26 Pg 43 Th S 77'. Said property commonly known as 133 S. Piatt Street, Monticello, Illinois.
A public hearing will be held at the Planning & Zoning Board meeting scheduled for Monday, March 18th, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers, located at 210 N. Hamilton Street in the City of Monticello Illinois. Notice is further given that the above applicants are seeking a variance to the maximum height of an accessory structure, as well as a variance to allow an accessory structure to be used for dwelling purposes. Please note, both these requests relate to conditions of an existing carriage house that was permitted and constructed under previous ownership in 2004, and this request acts as an administrative process to bring the property into compliance. All interested persons have the right to appear at the public hearing and present evidence.
