Report: Potomac spent $10,256 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Potomac Community Unit School District 10 is down 9.9 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Vermilion County school district spent $11,377 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,256 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 146 to 156.

Potomac's spending in 2017-18 was 23.1 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
