Monticello Chamber Of Commerce issued the following announcement on Dec. 1.
We have been getting a lot of calls/questions regarding the Monticello Christmas Parade. As of now, we are planning on having the parade rain or shine. In all the years of the Christmas Parade we haven’t had to cancel the parade. That being said, IF it is thundering/lightening at the time of the parade, we will have to cancel. If it is just raining…the parade will go on!
At this time, three forecasts have the storms coming later in the day. we will attempt to message you, put it on the Chamber facebook page and Shop monticello face book page as soon as we know anything more. The parade will not be rescheduled.
