Village of St. Joseph Board met Oct. 23.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

CALL TO ORDER: 7:00 P.M.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:

ROLL CALL:

MINUTES: Review and approval of the October 9, 2018 Village Board Minutes* Exhibit #1

BILLS: Review and approval of the Village’s bills* Exhibit #2

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: The Board welcomes your input. (The Village has a resolution regarding public participation. The specifics are located at the end of the agenda.)

MAYOR’S DESK:

▪ The resealing and lining project on Lincoln Street turned out very nicely.

▪ Gordon Gilly will be present to explain the subdivision that he wants to do with his property. He is requesting a waiver of from the Village regarding the subdivision process. Lierman will explain what the Village’s options are to proceed. *

▪ Reminder that Saturday, October 27th will be a Fall costume parade with the Mayor. It begins at 10:00 am at Main Street Station (mini-mall) and will continue through the downtown and end with treats.

▪ Reminder that the rededication of Kolb Park will be on Saturday, October 27th at noon. There will be a small ceremony and then free hot dogs and drinks.

▪ There is a concern regarding the possible use of Route 150 for the solar farm in Sidney. There is an estimate that it could be up to 1900 trucks passing through the Village.

▪ Discussion regarding updating the Village ordinance as to age to serve alcohol in the Village. *

STANDING COMMITTEES:

• Finance, Personnel, & Economic Development: Nothing to report.

• Sanitary Sewer:

▪ Discussion regarding the purchase of a 2004 International 7400 Vac Truck from S & S Excavating at a cost not to exceed $140,000. *

▪ Entering into an intergovernmental agreement with two other Villages splitting the purchase of the truck between the villages. *

• Parks: Nothing to report.

• Public Health & Safety, ESDA, & Sheriff:

▪ Discussion regarding radar signs.

▪ Review of the animal control ordinance.

• Buildings, Grounds, and Equipment:

▪ Discussion regarding problems with both the Vehicle #6, the 2010 dump truck and vehicle #11, the 2018 leaf vacuum.

• Streets, Alleys, Sidewalk, & Drainage: Nothing to report.

Attorney’s Desk:

Clerk’s Desk: Nothing to report.

Office Manager: Nothing to report.

Public Works: Nothing to report.
