City of Danville issued the following announcement on Oct. 9.
We regret to inform you all that we have decided to cancel the Haunted Happenings event. We don't want to post negative things on our page however, we know that we can't keep you guys in the dark nor do we want to. We couldn't get enough volunteers to make the event happen. We appreciate all those who told us that they would help in some way, unfortunately it just wasn't enough.
We are working on a couple things and are looking forward to sharing them asap. Potterfest is November 2nd and DDI's Night of Lights Parade will be on our First Friday in December. Stay tuned!
