Q1 real estate sales report: Potomac

Median prices rose in Potomac over last year, and are up 5.5 percent over 7 years, adjusted for inflation, according to first quarter sales data collected by BlockShopper.com.

From January to March, 1 home sold in Potomac for a price of $76,500. That's 38.9 percent higher than median home sale prices for the first quarter of 2017.

In the first quarter, there were no foreclosures in Potomac.

Median property tax for homeowners in Potomac was $1,150.23 in 2016 according to tax data from that year. That means homeowners pay 3.3 percent of their home's value in taxes.
