Tolono Fire Protection District responded to 46 calls in 2017 - 187.5 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Tolono included 25 fires - 11 structure fires, four vehicle fires and 10 other fires.

The department also received 21 false calls, including one malicious call and 20 other false calls.

The Tolono Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $193,436 in 2017.
