Thomasboro Fire Protection District responded to 37 calls in 2017 - 28.8 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Thomasboro included 30 fires - 15 structure fires, five vehicle fires and 10 other fires.

In all, the department saw $451,000 in fire loss - or about $15,033 per fire.

The department also received seven false calls.

The Thomasboro Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $123,034 in 2017.
