CITY OF URBANA: Art at the Market
City of Urbana issued the following announcement on June 4.
Join the City of Urbana Public Arts Program for our June Art at the Market featuring a screenprinting workshop from Weiskamp Screen Printing and performance from Desafinado on Saturday, June 9th, 2018!
From 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. explore screenprinting at the market guided by the staff of Weiskamp Screen Printing! You can make and take your own print!
Then, from 9:30am-11:30am, enjoy a musical performance from Desafinado, a seven piece ensemble that plays a combination of Samba, Bossa Nova, and MPB (Musica Popular Brasileira).
All these events are free, open to all ages, and require no registration to participate. The workshop and performance will be held on Walnut Street near the City of Urbana tent at the northwest entrance to the Market at the Square, located in historic downtown Urbana on Illinois and Vine.
The City offers art programming during Urbana’s Market at the Square season. Workshops and performances will take place every second Saturday of the month at Urbana's Market at the Square!
