City of Paxton Council met April 24.
Here is the minutes provided by the Council:
Mayor Ingold called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Roll call showed the following aldermen in attendance: Evans, Flesner, Glad, Pacey, Satterlee, and Wylie. Aldermen Steiger and Wilson were absent. Also in attendance were: Mayor Ingold, Treasurer/Comptroller Tammy Jensen, Public Works Director Mark LeClair, Chief of Police
Coy Cornett, and members of the audience.
Finance/Budget
There were no committee meetings.
Alderman Wylie asked Comptroller/Treasurer Jensen to speak about amending the appropriation ordinance. This is a yearly item. Alderman Wylie said everything looked in order.
Alderman Wylie made a motion to Approve Ordinance 18-07 An Ordinance Amending The Annual Appropriation Ordinance For 2017-2018.
Alderman Flesner seconded the motion. Roll Call: ayes – Evans, Flesner, Glad, Pacey, Satterlee, and Wylie. Six ayes, motion carried.
Raises for the City Clerk and the Mayor have to wait until 180 days before the next election.
Alderman Wylie made a motion to rescind the raises for both the City Clerk and the Mayor.
Alderman Flesner seconded the motion. Roll Call: ayes – Evans, Flesner, Glad, Pacey, Satterlee, and Wylie. Six ayes, motion carried.

Channel 3 was here Friday and are coming back again. The Mayor said he’s looking to overwhelm them with good items
At 7:05 p.m. Alderman Wylie made a motion to adjourn tonight’s meeting of the Mayor and City Council. Alderman Pacey seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried on a voice vote.
