Piatt County Nursing Home Committee met March 29.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

Place: Piatt County Nursing Home—Conference Room

Member Present: Albert Manint, Chairman, Ray Spencer and Randy Shumard

Absent Members:

Other Attendees: Scott Porter, Assistant Executive Director Kara Olsen, Maple Point Director Lisa Buehnerkemper, PCNH Admissions/Marketing Director

Tom Corbin – PCNH Family Member

Meeting called to order by Committee Member, Albert Manint at 8:00 am.

Approval of Minutes: Spencer made a motion, seconded by Shumard to approve the 2/15/18 minutes

Resident Applications: PCNH: 18-34; 18-35; 18-36; 18-37; 18-37; 18-38

MP:

Payroll Approval: Shumard made a motion, seconded by Spencer to approve Piatt County Nursing Home’s payroll for the period of 3/11/18 through 3/24/18 for $158,870.58. Roll Call Vote: Ayes – Shumard, Spencer and Manint. Nays-None. Motion carried.

Shumard made a motion, seconded by Spencer to approve Maple Point Supportive Living’s payroll for the period of 3/11/18 through 3/24/18 for $18,700.01. Roll Call Vote: Ayes-Shumard, Spencer and Manint. Nays-None; Motion carried.

Old Busines: None

New Business: Tom Corbin, member of PCNH Family Council, provided update to the last meeting. Council was provided responses to previous meeting from Administration and those were acceptable to the council. New comments from this month’s meeting were provided to Administration for follow up at next meeting.

Ex. Director reported that the current Activity Director will be resigning effective 4/14/18. The position will be restructured so the department will again be managed by the Social Service Director. The new position will share time between activities and social services.

Ex. Director reviewed the status the Kirby Lab contract. The contract has been signed and will be effective 5/1/18.

MP Director provided and update for the Illinois Medicaid Managed Care program. The original effective date was 4/1/18. However, an update was sent out late Wednesday stating it had been delayed. Facility is awaiting more information on the delay.

Public Comment:

Executive Session: Spencer made motion, seconded by Shumard, to enter Executive session at 8:20 a.m. to discuss personnel. Ayes – Shumard, Spencer and Manint. Nays – None. Motion carried. Shumard made a motion, seconded by Spencer to reenter open session at 8:25 a.m. Roll Call Vote: Ayes – Shumard, Spencer and Manint. Nays – None. Motion carried

The next meeting date is April 9, 2018 at 8:00 am

Spencer made a motion, seconded by Shumard to adjourn the meeting at 8:27 a.m. Motion approved.
