Analysis: Mahomet pays $3.70 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Mahomet Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 78.8 percent of the $183,618 the Mahomet Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.70 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Mahomet contributed $144,627 to the fund, which saw a $71,417 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $38,991, or 21.2 percent, in 2016.
