Analysis: Danville pays $4.56 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Danville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82 percent of the $2,353,013 the Danville Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.56 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Danville contributed $1,930,255 to the fund, which saw a $25,558 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $422,758, or 18 percent, in 2016.
