City of Hoopeston Council met January 16.
Here is the minutes as provided by the council:
I.Call to order
In the absence of the mayor, clerk Lane called the meeting to order leading the Pledge of Allegiance at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.
II.Roll call
Clerk Lane conducted a roll call. The following four council members were present: Florek, Goodwine, Hamilton and Yaden. Absent were Anderson, Ankenbrand, Houmes and McElhaney. Attorney Mockbee was present.
III. Approval of Agenda
Without a quorum in attendance approval of minutes and payment of bills could not be acted upon.
IV.Reports of Officers
a)Alderwoman Florek reported on broken water mains and frozen meters.
b)Alderman Goodwine had nothing to report.
c)Alderman Hamilton reported that the process of hiring a Police Chief is still underway. Interviews have been conducted and more may follow.
d)Alderman Yaden had nothing to report.
No other business was conducted.
Council was dismissed at 7:08 p.m.
