City of Hoopeston Civic Committee met October 27.
Here is the minutes as provided by the committee:
In attendance were Bill McElhaney, Alex Hourmes, Mike Bane, Harry Brockus, Nacin Buhmester, Terry Glynn, Alex Ultizer.
Civic chairman opened the meeting with discussion about 105 East Main St. the demolition process and what's expected of the contractors. Concerns were brought up about the electrical box on the west side of the building that controls the CSX Rail Road crossing gates, Mike Bane he would contact CSX and Ameren to get answers to that concern. Harry Brockusstated the sooner the better. We were all in agreement the project would happen soon. The capping of sewer pipes as well as being aware of the gas lines on the west side were discussed as well. Glynn Demolition and D and Sexcavating were the only 2 contractors at the meeting both said this won't take a great deaf of time and wanted to know about start date. Review of upcoming meeting on Monday October 30 2017 will give results of proposals and winning contractor. Meeting adjourn.
