Carle Health System in Urbana has chosen John Snyder as the new president and CEO of Health Alliance Medical Plans, the system’s health plan, according to a press release.
Snyder, who spent two years as the alliance’s chief administrative officer, will continue his duties as Carle Health System's chief operating officer, overseeing all hospital and clinic operations. James Leonard will continue to be the system’s president and CEO.
“For Health Alliance in particular, there are new markets to explore, new opportunities in existing markets, new products to develop, new relationships to forge, and new ways to improve our member, employer, and broker experiences,” Snyder said in the press release. “These are truly exciting times.”
Snyder also works as an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois College of Applied Health Sciences and is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
