Westville Area Fire Protection District responded to 84 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the East Central Reporter.

The calls in Westville Area included 69 fires - 39 structure fires, 10 vehicle fires and 20 other fires.

In all, the department saw $190,230 in fire loss - or about $2,757 per fire.

The department also received 15 false calls, including one malicious call and 14 other false calls.
