Rantoul Village Board of Trustees met July 5.

Here is the minutes as provided by the board:

Roll Call

The Village Clerk called the roll, finding the following members present:

Mayor Charles Smith and Trustees, Hank Gamel, Sam Hall, Terry Workmen,

Jennifer Fox, Rich Medlen and Chad Smith -7.

Public Participation

Debra Sweat again spoke about the Chief of Police Search Process.

Motion to affirm appointment of Anthony J. Brown as Chief of Police for the

Village of Rantoul, Champaign County, Illinois. Trustee Medlen moved to

approve and Trustee Workmen seconded the motion. The Clerk called the roll

and the motion passed 6 – 0.

Motion to pass Resolution No. 7-17-1238, A Resolution Approving and

Authorizing the Execution of an Agreement Concerning the

Appointment of Chief of Police of the Village of Rantoul,

Illinois and Specifying Compensation and Other Benefits in

Connection with the Appointment. Trustee Medlen moved to approve

and Trustee Gamel seconded the Motion. The Clerk call the roll and the

Ordinance passed 6 – 0.

Adjournment

Trustee Workmen moved to adjourn the Special Meeting of the Rantoul Village

Board and Trustee Medlen seconded the motion. The Clerk Called the Roll and

the motion passed by a vote of 6 – 0.
