Unpaid fine for Danville-based campaign committee totaled $5,000 in January 2017

One campaign committee in Danville has an overdue fine of $5,000, records obtained by the Chambana Sun show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that Citizens to Elect Diante Johnson was the only campaign committee in Danville that was delinquent in payment for January 2017, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

The fine that Citizens to Elect Diante Johnson has yet to pay was imposed on Jan. 18, 2017, for failure to comply.
