The city of Urbana is asking for residents interested in bettering the community to serve on one of the many boards and commissions looking for volunteers.
Several commissions within the city are now accepting volunteer board members including the Community Development Commission, Urbana Plan Commission, Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission, Public Arts Commission, Design Review Board and MOR Development Review Board.
The MOR Development Review Board needs a board member who lives no more than 250 feet from the MOR Zoning District, which is a mixed office and residential district along Green and Elm streets.
Residents interested in learning more about serving a role on one of the many boards is asked to call the mayor’s office at 217-384-2456. An online application can be found here. Applicants must live within the city of Urbana.
