The city of Urbana Committee of the Whole met Monday to hear a Community Coalition presentation by Tracy Parsons and Alderwoman Diane Marlin.
Alderman Dennis Roberts reported on the practice of “Roof Replacement or Cancellation” by home insurance companies and its impact on homeowners.
The committee also heard updates on Arbor Division activities, solicitations of sponsorships for the Pygmalion Festival and sewer activity.
Two resolutions were considered, one authorizing the execution of an Intergovernmental Redevelopment Agreement between the city of Urbana and the Urbana Park District pertaining to the Cunningham Avenue Corridor Redevelopment Area) and the second amending City Council Rules of Procedure to move meeting adjournment time from 11 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
The meeting concluded with a discussion of local ordinances pertaining to the possession and sales of drug paraphernalia.
Meetings are held in Council Chambers, 400 S. Vine St.
