The Champaign City Council held a study session Tuesday to discuss a gun violence deterrence initiative.
The council also provided special recognition for Nicolas Ramkumar, this year;s recipient of The Prudential Spirit of Community Award.
In other business, the council discussed updates to the Curtis Road interchange area master plan.
