The County of Champaign Board approved employment agreements including the reappointment of Jeff Blue as county engineer during its March 17 meeting.
The board also approved the county administrator's employment agreement and the interim/transition county administrator's temporary employment terms. The board adopted a resolution honoring retiring County Administrator Debra Busey.
The board reviewed and approved a budget amendment to supplement funding in order to continue the forensic interviewer position during the 2016 fiscal year. The board also heard and approved a loan to the General Corporate Fund from the Public Safety Sales Tax Fund and OK'd increases in appropriations to allow the public defender's office to replace and upgrade laptops and equipment. The five-year computer replacement, scheduled for 2016, was short on funds, so money was shifted to allow for full replacement.
The consent agenda, which was approved in one vote, also authorized several budget amendments to adjust fund balances and increase appropriations to accommodate funding needs.
The next regular meeting of the County Board will be held at 6:30 p.m. on April 21.
