The Champaign Unit 4's board of education met Monday at the Mellon Administrative Center to review a cost estimate of $3,816,162 for the building of a new transportation facility.

The quote is based on schematic designs developed in consultation with Gorski-Reifsteck and O’Shea Builders. District officials said the designs were informed by input from school staff, mechanics, drivers and others who would interact with the new facility.

If approved, the district would proceed to preparing construction documents and seeking bids for the projects.

The board was also expected to review recommendations for the terminations of Scott Christenson, Ronnie Ragel and Sammie Pierson and hear a report from Superintendent Dr. Judy Wiegand and Dr. Susan Zola on this school year's goals for the district's elementary schools.
