The vacancy was created when Rep. Marci Dodds announced she would resign on March 23 to move out of the area.
The council is seeking another District 4 resident who has lived in the area for at least one year, is 18 years of age or older, has no outstanding taxes or debts with the city, and has not been convicted of a serious crime.
Applications are available on the city's website and should be submitted to the mayor's office by noon on March 22. The council will meet March 29 to interview selected candidates.
