The Savoy Village Board unanimously approved an electric aggregation agreement with Good Energy LP at its regular meeting Dec 2.
The new agreement will join the village with a pool of other municipalities to group-purchase electricity at lower rates.
The board also approved job descriptions for assistant village manager and deputy treasurer. Village Manager Dick Helton said the village isn't planning to fill either position immediately and will stretch the capacities of the current staff to get the jobs done.
The board also reviewed monthly reports from Helton's office, as well as the office's of the Director of Public Works, the Zoning Administrator, the Director of Planning and Economic Development, the Village Clerk, and the Village Attorney.
The meeting was adjourned after 35 minutes.
