State Rep. Carol Ammons (D-Urbana) reminds residents to consider signing up for electronic license plate renewal reminders as the state continues to sort through its budget stalemate.
“When a service that residents depend on is interrupted, they need to be made aware of alternative resources available to assist them,” Ammons said. “The ability to enroll in electronic vehicle registration reminders offers drivers an alternative that will help ensure they are not subject to unnecessary fines during the budget impasse and allow them to reduce their carbon footprint and protect our natural resources.”
Residents can register for the reminders online at www.ilsos.gov/greenmail using the registration ID and PIN on the back of their registration card.
