State Sen. Scott Bennett (D-Champaign) is working with experts from the Citizens Utility Board to create a free clinic where local consumers can receive help to reduce their gas, electric and landline telephone costs.
To receive counseling, participants have been advised to bring their gas, electric and phone bills to receive a one-on-one consultation from board representatives. The event will encompass information on spotting errors in bills and incentives designed to help people improve efficiency.
The event will take place Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Danville Public Library, 319 N. Vermilion St.
